Endesa, a leading company in the Spanish electricity sector and the second largest operator in the Portuguese electricity market, has joined the group of companies on the board of trustees of the Corporate Excellence Foundation - Centre for Reputation Leadership. This Centre is a space for large-scale collaboration to generate more ethical, responsible and reliable businesses, through excellence in the management of reputation and intangible elements.
Endesa is committed to contributing to the creation of a new energy model based on clean energy, respect for the natural environment and sustainable development. At its meeting at the beginning of the year on 9 March, the members of the board of trustees of Corporate Excellence welcomed Endesa, represented by Ignacio Jiménez Soler, onto the board of trustees. Mr Soler is the company's general manager of communication. He holds a doctorate cum laudein Information Sciences and a degree in Journalism from Madrid's Complutense University.
The board of trustees of Corporate Excellence currently comprises: Eduardo Navarro Carvalho, chairman of Corporate Excellence and director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Telefónica; María Luisa Martínez Gistau, vice chair of Corporate Excellence and head of Communication and Institutional Relations at CaixaBank; Juan Manuel Cendoya Méndez de Vigo, vice chairman of Santander Spain and general head of Communication, Corporate Marketing and Studies at Banco Santander; Paul García Tobin, BBVA's head of Communication; Luis Gómez Rodríguez, senior advisor to the presidency of Iberdrola; and Jordi García Tabernero, general manager of Communication and Institutional Relations at Naturgy.
The incorporation of Endesa as a trustee will make it possible to achieve and advance the Foundation's dream: to foster the development and creation of organisations that are more committed to their stakeholders and that work to build a better world through excellence in the management of their major intangible factors and generators of sustained value, such as communication, corporate brand, reputation, purpose and
sustainability. The member companies are part of a unique space for accelerating open innovation and implementing the roadmap for the most advanced intangible elements, focusing on intelligent decision-making to strengthen their leadership positions and burnish their legitimacy with their stakeholders.
