Endesa, the largest electric utility company in Spain, has partnered with Lime, the leading micromobility company, to promote safe, sustainable mobility at the Climate Change Summit (COP25) in Madrid.
Under the agreement, Lime's electric scooters will be charged with clean renewable energy from Endesa to help achieve the goal of zero emissions. Since Lime arrived in Spain, the emission of more than 99 tons of CO₂into the atmosphere has been avoided.
Based on the agreement, the company's employees will be given several free unlocks on 10 and 11 December using a promo code.
Lime will make a fleet of electric scooters available to company employees to travel around IFEMA, headquarters of COP25, and Endesa, whose corporate headquarters will host numerous "side events" related to the Summit.
Lime’s General Manager of Spain and Portugal Álvaro Salvat, said that “Lime's scooters are a great ally for Madrid to achieve its environmental objectives. Micromobility reduces pollution and mitigates the effects of climate change, and Lime is proud to be part of the solution.”
In turn, Alberto Fernández, General Manager of Communication at Endesa, said that “it is important to carry out electric mobility actions with a leading company like Lime, and to make this action another example of our employees’ commitment to the the COP25 objectives”.
