In 2017, Endesa will supply natural gas to the main university centres in Catalonia (UAB, UB, UPC and POMPEU FABRA, among others), and to the Complutense University of Madrid, worth approximately 5.15 million euros.
This tender, signed in Barcelona, entails a total of 354 supply points distributed among the 23 university bodies belonging to the CSUC (with a volume of 88 GWh), and the Complutense of Madrid (with a volume of 56 GWh).
At the institutional signing ceremony, Endesa was represented by Juan José Muñoz Rueda, Key Accounts Manager, and the universities by Miquel Puig, Director-General of the CSUC.
With the signing of this agreement, Endesa has become the main supplier of electricity and natural gas to the universities of Catalonia and to the Complutense of Madrid.
Furthermore, pursuant to the agreement, ENDESA undertakes to provide guidance and to train the universities in energy efficiency matters, placing at the CSUC’s disposal its experience and a team of experts in the optimisation of energy usage in universities.
