- They have signed a framework partnership agreement to install fast and semi-fast technology electric vehicle chargers at 13 of their hotels in Ibiza, Menorca, Tenerife, Andalusia, Catalonia and Madrid, with around 50 electrified parking spaces.
- Public access: the chargers installed may also be used by all users, whether or not they are customers staying at the hotels. They are publicly accessible and their availability can be checked in the Endesa X recharge app, Juice Pass. Today there are already more than 2,000 public chargers throughout Spanish territory.
- Endesa X's collaboration with the Palladium Hotel Group is a benchmark for the global tourism sector and is a very important step towards sustainable tourism, essential to facilitate the electrification of transport in our society.
Endesa X, a leading company in energy services and electric mobility solutions, and the Palladium Hotel Group, have signed an agreement to promote electric mobility in our country. Thanks to this collaboration, Endesa X will initially install some 50 electric vehicle chargers in 13 of the chain's hotels in Ibiza, Menorca, Tenerife, Andalusia, Catalonia and Madrid.
For Davide Ciciliato, general manager of Endesa X, "we are very proud to have a partner such as the Palladium Hotel Group in a key sector in our country such as the tourism sector, helping us in our goal of increasingly democratising zero-emission mobility and facilitating access to recharging. For the development of our recharging infrastructure plan, on which we have been working for more than two years, it is essential to have partners such as the Palladium Hotel Group, which share this path towards the decarbonisation of transport and the fight against climate change"
For his part, the global director of Operations of the Palladium Hotel Group, Raúl Benito, stressed that "this partnership agreement is a decisive step in the development of our environmental commitment policies." Promoting electric mobility means a significant reduction in CO2 emissions, an area in which we are fully involved. The collaboration began in Ibiza in 2017, an island on which we have pioneered an agreement of these characteristics with Endesa X, since we consider it to be the ideal place for a sustainable project of this magnitude, and this year it extends to other hotels on the peninsula, which constitutes significant progress in our commitment to sustainability in its three areas: economic, social and environmental".
Public access chargers
All recharging infrastructure installed at the hotels is publicly accessible and open to all users: anyone can make use of them, even if they are not going to stay at the hotel nor are they a current Endesa customer. Some 50 electrified spaces are planned in total at the car parks of each hotel, where they will also have an exclusive parking and recharging area for electric cars. Customers who are staying at hotels containing recharging infrastructure will also have exclusive advantages.
Being passage areas in which the average parking time of customers is somewhat higher, it is planned that the chargers mainly involve semi-fast technology. Endesa X's JuicePole, with its up to 22 kW of power, allows 80% of the vehicle's battery to be recharged in approximately one hour. In addition, it allows the simultaneous charging of two vehicles at the same time, which favours the rotation of vehicles at the hotels at which they are installed.
JuicePass: manage recharging from your mobile phone
Whether you are a Palladium and Endesa customer or not, you can access public chargers by installing the Endesa X application on your mobile phone, which will allow you to locate the nearest recharging station, know its status, reserve the charger and pay from your JuicePass mobile.
The App is available completely free of charge on IOS and Android and allows registration using personal data or Facebook or Google profiles, which offers economic advantages in recharging prices and also expedites the process.
