- The insurance guarantees cash benefits to the more than 68,000 Group employees worldwide in the event of hospitalisation or intensive care if they contract the virus.
- It is the world's first insurance instrument designed to ensure worldwide support for the ongoing pandemic and will guarantee benefits in addition to those offered by all other insurance policies and forms of healthcare already used in the Group.
Enel has activated an insurance policy for the Group's more than 68,000 employees worldwide - so including those in Spain - in the event of hospitalisation due to the COVID-19 virus. This type of insurance, which has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the Enel Group, is the first of its kind in the world aimed at guaranteeing worldwide support for the ongoing pandemic.
Through the policy, Enel will guarantee that all Group employees who are hospitalised after contracting the virus or who are undergoing intensive care receive financial aid in cash. This product represents an additional benefit on top of those offered by all other insurance tools and forms of healthcare that are currently available to Group employees.
This tool, developed in collaboration with Aon SpA, the leading company in the insurance and risk management services sector, has been immediately activated in all the countries where Enel has employees.
