- “Reaching Bankia customers means Endesa will play a part in its responsible management plan and together they will offer the public a sustainable and financially attractive option at a time when both issues are as necessary as they are beneficial," said Santiago Díez Antón, Endesa Market/B2C Strategic Alliances manager
- The agreement is in line with the bank's commitment to promoting sustainable development and contributing to the achievement of a low-carbon economy
Bankia has reached an agreement with Endesa to offer its customers sustainable energy with exclusive discounts, on both electricity and gas. With this alliance, Bankia and Endesa will provide the customers of the financial institution with a global solution to their energy needs, through a green energy savings plan.
The aim is to give Bankia's domestic, self-employed and micro-business customers the possibility to save on their energy bills , while ensuring that they are consuming 100% sustainable energy .
“It is a great satisfaction for us to announce this agreement with Endesa, through which we will offer our customers value-added services with which they can cover all their energy needs, with a guarantee that the source is totally green, in line with the bank’s commitment to promoting sustainable development in order to contribute to the achievement of a low carbon economy,” said Alejandra de Mulder, Bankia's director of Relational Sales.
For his part, Santiago Díez Antón, Endesa's Market/B2C Strategic Alliances manager, emphasised that “for us, reaching Bankia customers means that we will play a part in its responsible management plan and together we will offer the public a sustainable and financially attractive option at a time when both issues are as necessary as they are beneficial. It represents a change in the way we reach out to customers and we hope it will be a practical and direct channel through which everyone can easily choose the energy solution that best suits them.”
The agreement covers Endesa's products and services being offered, for the time being, to customers in the Madrid and Catalonia regions and the provinces of Valencia and Castellón.
Endesa and Bankia's value proposition for energy is based on five pillars:
- An exclusive energy tariff, with the gift of free hours for life with three options, so that customers can select the one that best suits their particular case: two hours a day, one day a week or 50 hours a month. For the rest of the hours the price is stable and set, so as to avoid surprises.
- Clients will also receive as a gift the first 200 hours of electricity free each year for as long as they remain with Endesa, which will rise to 300 if they jointly contract electricity and gas services.
- In addition, those who contract their energy through Bankia will enjoy an additional 2% discount on its E-factura service (electronic billing) and a 5% discount for a dual contract (electricity and gas).
- Bankia customers will benefit from a 20% discount on all maintenance offered by Endesa during the first year.
- Lastly, the agreement ensures 100% green energy for Bankia customers.
Additionally, this exclusive Endesa promotion for Bankia does not require any period of permanence, so customers may change companies when they consider it appropriate.
"All these characteristics make Endesa's offer for Bankia customers a very competitive offer, which as a whole could mean an approximate saving of between 50 and 150 euros a year, depending on the customer's situation," said de Mulder.
