The +50 Emprende Awards embark on a tour to find the best senior entrepreneurship projects in Spain

• The tour will stop in Madrid, Seville, Barcelona, Zaragoza, and Málaga between November 2024 and January 2025, offering senior entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their business ideas in person.
• The first stop will be on 6 November in Madrid, followed by Seville on 21 November and Barcelona on 28 November. Zaragoza and Málaga will complete the tour for this new edition.
• The online submission period for projects in the sixth edition of the awards will remain open until 31 January 2025, and applications must be submitted via the official form available on the SAVIA website.
• The +50 Emprende Awards, Spain’s most prestigious senior entrepreneurship competition, are promoted by Generación SAVIA, a project by Fundación Endesa in collaboration with Fundación máshumano and the production company 02:59 Films.

The sixth +50 Emprende Awards go on tour

The VI +50 Emprende Awards—Spain’s most important initiative supporting entrepreneurs over 50—will tour several cities, including Madrid, Seville, Barcelona, Zaragoza, and Málaga, to identify and support new business ideas and projects led by senior entrepreneurs. These awards are an initiative of Generación SAVIA, a project by Fundación Endesa and Fundación máshumano, along with 02:59 Films.

The tour kicks off on 6 November in Madrid, at Endesa’s headquarters (Calle de la Ribera del Loira, 60). The next stops will be on 21 November in Seville, at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters, and on 28 November in Barcelona, also at Endesa’s headquarters (Av. Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes, 608). The tour will then continue in Zaragoza and Málaga, before concluding once again in Madrid.

At each location, a recording space will be set up, allowing entrepreneurs to present their projects in person, with the support of 02:59 Films. This provides a direct and accessible way for participants to compete. Entrepreneurs wishing to take part and present their projects live must register in advance by completing the form on the SAVIA website (www.generacionsavia.org).

The +50 Emprende Awards have become a key platform for showcasing the entrepreneurial potential of senior professionals. They not only promote the development of innovative projects but also help drive a cultural shift aimed at eliminating age-related prejudices in the workplace.

What’s new in the sixth edition?

This year’s edition increases its total funding to €53,000, with €33,000 in cash prizes and €20,000 in non-financial support. Additionally, a new special category has been introduced: the Green Entrepreneurship Award, recognising projects focused on energy transition and the circular economy.

Out of all the submitted proposals, 12 finalists will be selected for the final phase. A specialist jury will then decide the winners, who will compete for one of the three main +50 Emprende Awards in the general category and the Green Entrepreneurship Award in the special category.

• The first-place winner in the general category will receive €10,000.
• The second and third-place winners will receive €5,000 and €3,000, respectively.
• The Green Entrepreneurship Award winner will receive €15,000.

The non-financial prizes, valued at €20,000, will provide training and mentoring from partners such as 50 PRO, ARRABE INTEGRA, TQUITY, Revista Emprendedores, and entrepreneur coach Elena Garzía. This support will help winners strengthen their skills, develop their projects, and maximise their impact.
