The ACB and Endesa are launching the "Liga Endesa de corazón" initiative this Saturday, 18 December, in the Martín Carpena sports arena in Malaga. This is a social programme aimed at promoting the values of basketball throughout society via initiatives with their roots in the community of fans of this sport.
The initial project in this first season is Basket Lover Stories, for which both the acb and Endesa have listened to fans to highlight and provide support to social initiatives related to the world of basketball.
"Liga Endesa de corazón" will focus on the five main initiatives of Basket Lover Stories to help them to continue growing naturally and establish their social value. For example, the recent preliminary phase of the Endesa Mini Cup was played with basketball nets hand-made from recycled fishing nets by weavers on the Galician coast for the Ecoballution sustainable economy project.
The first event will take place this Saturday in Málaga, where boys and girls from the superbasket team of the Academia 675 basketball school will enjoy a unique experience playing as if they were a Liga Endesa team in the Martín Carpena sports arena: they will play a game on the central court, take part in a press conference, speak with television, accompany the players in the presentation of the game… in short, have a truly unforgettable experience.
