- The estimated tender price for the Catalan Government Railways (FGC for its Spanish acronym) is over 7.4 million euros.
- The new agreement includes the sale of high and low voltage on the Group’s Metropolitan Lines and mountain stations.
Endesa has been awarded once again the contract to supply electricity to the Catalan Government Railways (FGC) next year. The Company has thus ratified the tender to sell the high and low voltage for the Metropolitan Lines and mountain stations, for an estimated sum of over 7.4 million euros, plus the regulated tariff, the electricity tax and VAT.
The agreement includes the electricity service for the Barcelona-Vallès Line, the Llobregat-Anoia Line and the Lleida-La Pobla Line, as well as the FGC Group's mountain stations: La Molina, Port Ainé, Espot, Vallter and Vall de Núria. In total there are approximately 300 kilometres of lines with 91 supply points at low voltage (above 10 kV) and 31 supply points at high voltage.
The participation in this tender forms part of Endesa’s sales policy, intervening in most public tenders in Catalonia with the aim of continuing to be the leading supplier of gas and electricity in the region. Furthermore, this year Endesa is supplying gas and electricity to the Catalan Association of Municipalities.
