There are people who are committed to the future, knowing that each individual is part of the solution, who take care of their environment on the basis that recycling is not just a trend and who consume responsibly because they know that the future of the next generations depends on the present. They are people with a sustainable conscience. Or, to put it another way, a Sustainable Spirit.
This is the name under which this new initiative by Twenergy will be presented this afternoon, a project supported by Endesa that aims to strengthen its role as a platform to promote energy transition with an informative and pedagogical approach to accompany citizens in the economic and social change involved in progressing towards the decarbonisation of the economy. The event will take place in the Jardines del Buen Retiro, specifically in the Pavilion in the Jardines de Cecilio Rodríguez, from 7pm to 9pm.
The event will be presented by the journalist, communicator and writer Marta Fernández and will be attended by experts in the field of sustainability, including Jorge Pina, Head of Environment at Endesa, and Fernando Valladares, research professor at the CSIC. To learn more about the values and projects that move the world, as well as the people and organisations that are working to make the planet a better place on a daily basis, there will be participation by such well-known names as Álvaro Gutiérrez de la Fuente, Chief Executive Officer of the Zarzuela Horse Racing Stadium, and Rodrigo de la Calle, Green Haute Cuisine chef with 3 Michelin stars, who will make a speech on SUStainability in our daily lives. The forum will also feature two of the members of the musical group Jaula de Grillos: Alberto de Miguel, singer and digital and business development expert in the recording industry, and Juan Rizo, bass player and B2B sales consultant in the automotive industry, who will talk about music as a tool for awareness and education.
From their respective sectors, sports, gastronomy, music and mobility, they will share the projects they are developing to reduce the environmental impact of their activities with a view to encouraging more people to join them in thinking and acting sustainably.
During the event they will also talk about another of Twenergy's initiatives: The Sustainable Stool. A survey at street level where anonymous people are asked entertaining questions about issues relating to circular economy, electrification, energy transition and climate change with the aim of learning and questioning concepts relating to sustainability.
