Solar self-consumption is the best way to save on your electricity bill. Plus, by installing a solar self-consumption system, you contribute to the energy transition by avoiding emissions into the atmosphere through the use of renewable, inexhaustible, and environmentally friendly energy sources.
On top of that, Endesa offers a wide range of energy self-consumption solutions—from solar panel installation to energy management—to enable you to choose the option that best suits your needs.
Install solar panels, sign up for a new self-consumption tariff, or enjoy the benefits of solar energy without the need to install panels, and start saving on your bill with Endesa.
At Endesa, we offer solutions tailored to your energy consumption habits and needs.
One of the regulated self-consumption options is self-consumption with surplus compensation, which works as follows: the energy you produce but don’t use is fed into the transmission and distribution grid via the inverter so that it can be used by other consumers. This energy is referred to as ‘surplus’. The key advantage of this option is that you can sell the surplus energy you don’t consume.
Customers under this option receive a discount on their electricity bill as compensation for surplus energy, resulting in additional savings. The amount you save depends on the kWh fed back into the grid and the compensation price applied. However, this amount cannot exceed the so-called compensation limit, which means that you cannot be compensated financially at a value higher than that of the kWh you have consumed from the grid.
The new Endesa Solar Tariff is a great option to make the most out of your solar panels and surplus energy. You’ll be able to offset the surplus energy you generate at a rate of €0.10, which will be reflected as a discount on your bill for that period.
The energy you produce but don’t consume is fed into the grid. This is known as ‘surplus’.
With each billing cycle, you’ll receive compensation in the form of a discount on your electricity bill for this surplus energy, resulting in real savings. The amount you save will depend on the kWh fed back into the grid and the compensation price applied. This is the key advantage of selling your self-consumption surplus.
When calculating surplus compensation, there is a regulated limit, the so-called ‘compensation limit’. This means that you cannot be compensated financially at a value higher than that of the kWh you have consumed from the grid. This limit does not always appear on the bill, and it only applies when the value of the energy fed into the grid exceeds the value of the energy consumed from the grid.
From a financial standpoint, installing solar or photovoltaic panels is cost-effective and results in savings on your electricity bill. Estimates show that an average household can save up to 60% annually on their electricity bill.
From an environmental standpoint, having a photovoltaic system and a self-consumption tariff is always a significant improvement. The savings in CO2 emissions and the reduction of our carbon footprint thanks to solar panels are essential to achieving the goal of carbon neutrality.
