Endesa is supporting the Mallorca Live Festival as a Sustainable Sponsor
Music and sustainability will go hand in hand with Endesa as the link on 18, 19 and 20 May at the Mallorca Live Festival. This year, Endesa has joined this project as a Sustainable Sponsor, and we are not only bringing together the best Spanish and international artists like The Kooks, Black Eyed Peas, The Chemical Brothers, Vetusta Morla and Quevedo, it is all happening in one of the most spectacular venues, with an extraordinary blend of nature culture and gastronomy.
As a Sustainable Sponsor, Endesa will promote a series of measures aimed at limiting the environmental impact of the event, which is held within the old Aquapark in the town of Calvià. Firstly, by promoting the use of shuttle buses to attend concerts to avoid travel in individual vehicles as much as possible.
To make the festival more comfortable, accessible and sustainable, traffic in the vicinity of the venue will be restricted, so travelling by bus is the fastest and safest way possible to get to the Mallorca Live Fest. You can use the festival website to book seats on the shuttle buses, which depart from practically all corners of the island.
Also, inside the enclosure Endesa will install 60 rubbish collection points, as well as points where you can return glasses in all the bars and one more at the exit. There will also be a number of drinking water fountains. Also, the festival's performance area, about 100 square metres, for entertaining, dynamic activities, will be constructed using recycled materials and will be re-used throughout the year in upcoming events.
But we are aware that sustainability is also about people, so we are also supporting the magnificent work that Mallorca Live Fest is doing in this regard, taking advantage of local suppliers, taking measures to promote gender equality, wastewater management, energy efficiency measures, accessibility, as well as local talent, with four local bands performing on the Endesa stage: L.A., Fundación Francisco Frankenstein, Ombra and Dollar Selmouni.
This is the start of a new adventure that we are looking forward to with enthusiasm, pride and responsibility, aware of the importance of adding something and contributing together with Mallorca Live Festival to the engine of change for the sustainable development goals and the 2030 Agenda, as a benchmark for social inclusion and environmental protection becoming real objectives.
We would like to let you know that in the coming days we will be launching a spectacular draw that can put the icing on the cake for what will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience in Mallorca. Keep a lookout on our social networks music lover!
