Ana Muñoz Merino
Holding a Degree in Law from the University of Navarre (1987) and awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Award (1991), she was an assistant professor at the University of Cantabria (1993) and a university professor of Financial and Tax Law at the same university (1999).
Professional Experience
- In 2020 she was appointed a member of Economic-Administrative Tribunal of the Madrid City Council, a position she has held until 2026 and which she had previously held between 2004 and 2012.
- From 2018 to 2019 she was Vice President for Integrity of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
- Between 2017 and 2019 she was a member of the Arbitration Board of Navarre.
- In 2017 she was president of the Committee of Experts for the Reform of the Local Financing Model.
- From 2013 to 2015 she held the position of Director General of Sports at the High Council for Sports.
- Between 2012 and 2013 she held the position of Director of the State Anti-Doping Agency.
- She was director of the National Agency for Evaluation and Foresight of the Ministry of Science and Technology (2002–2004) and parliamentary advisor to the Secretary of State for Science and Technology Policy.
Current position
- Lawyer. Independent Director of Endesa, S.A.
Other activities
She is a member of the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors and the Madrid Bar Association, and has also been a member of the Council for Taxpayer Defence.
She has been Director General of Publications at Editorial Aranzadi and Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Quincena Fiscal.
She has been awarded various decorations: the Silver Cross of the Order of Merit of the Civil Guard; Commander with Plaque of the Civil Order of Alfonso X the Wise; Gold Medal for Sporting Merit; and the Gold Badge of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
