- King Felipe VI will chair the Honorary Committee of the Financial Forum Spain Investors Day (SID), which is to be held next January in Madrid.
- A total of 42 large Spanish listed companies have already confirmed their attendance at the 11th Edition of the SID.
- The CEO of the electricity company, José Bogas Gálvez, has deemed it “especially important, in these difficult times, to support companies and the Spanish economy as a whole in their dealings with international investors so that the latter can regain their confidence in Spain.”
Endesa today signed the agreement to sponsor the Spain Investors Day (SID), the underlying objective of which is to work so that investors can have accurate knowledge about the situation of the Spanish economy and so that listed companies can present their future plans to the largest possible number of large funds and investment entities and, ultimately, generate business opportunities in Spain.
Endesa has thus joined the efforts of the Forum to reactivate the economy and strengthen the image of Spain and its main listed companies in the international arena. In the words of its CEO, José Bogas Gálvez, “our company considers it especially important to collaborate and support companies and the Spanish economy as a whole in times of great difficulty such as those we are experiencing. It is necessary to recover investment levels in our country as soon as possible and to regain and strengthen the trust shown by large international investors in our companies.” Bogas stressed that “the electricity sector has been called upon to play a key role in all of this as a driver of the intense Energy Transition process that we will be experiencing in the coming decade.”

The Chairman of the SID, Benito Berceruelo, thanked ENDESA for “its support and commitment to Spain Investors Day. It is extremely important, in a scenario of uncertainty and a fall in investment such as we are currently seeing, to explain the strengths of our companies and the government’s action plans, so that we can recover and heighten the interest of the international investment community in Spain as soon as possible. Endesa has generously joined this country image project, in which we should all be fully engaged.”
His Majesty King Felipe VI will chair the Honorary Committee of the 11th edition of Spain Investors Day that will be held on 13-14 January 2021 in Madrid. Over two days, the meeting will bring together international investors from various countries alongside Spanish listed companies and prominent members of the economic team of the Government of Spain and from the regulatory and supervisory bodies of the Spanish market.
After ten uninterrupted editions, the SID will provide the Spanish economy with a new opportunity to test the confidence of large investors and international funds. 42 large listed companies, mostly from the Ibex 35 have already confirmed their participation - two more, to date, than the participants in the last edition held in January 2020.
In addition to Endesa, the strategic partners that make the Spain Investors Day Forum possible are BNP Paribas, a European leader in financial services and Exane BNP Paribas, one of the main intermediaries in European equities. The Forum is sponsored by international firms such as Grant Thornton. The meeting is also supported by Cecabank, Prisa, BME, the public entity ICEX-Invest in Spain and Madrid City Council. The ICO, Linklaters, Equipo económico, AON and Madrid City Council are participating as collaborators. Spain Investors Day is a company of the Estudio de Comunicación group.
