10 universal principles of the United National Global Compact
|1. Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights, within the scope of their influence.|
|2. Businesses should make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.|
|3. Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining.|
|4. Businesses should uphold the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour.|
|5. Businesses should uphold the abolition of child labour.|
|6. Businesses should uphold the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and accupation.|
|7. Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges.|
|8. Businesses should undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsability.|
|9. Businesses should encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.|
|10. Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
Once again we earned the advanced level; the maximum category awarded to companies that place a high level of emphasis on Sustainability issues and which adopt and report on a range of corporate sustainability, governance and management practices.
We currently form part of the Executive Committee of the Spanish Global Compact Network, the national platform responsible for promoting the Ten Principles within the Spanish business sector.
