At Endesa, we identify very closely with the values transmitted by basketball. Teamwork, intelligence, overcoming odds and a sense of sportsmanship are very important in the daily life of Endesa, this is why we are working to be able to make them our own and to promote them in society as a whole through basketball.

These agreements consolidate Endesa as the main promoter of Spanish basketball and a benchmark in sports sponsorship in Spain.

As well as renewing the Endesa League, the commitment to the Spanish Basketball Federation and the Men's and Women's National Teams, the Spanish Sports Federation for People with Physical Disabilities, the Euroleague, the Eurocup and the NBA, a recent addition is the agreement with the Federation to sponsor the Endesa Women's League.

Endesa and the ACB

In July 2011, Endesa reached an agreement with the Association of Basketball Clubs (ACB) through which, at the beginning of the 2011-2012 season, we became a sponsor for all the official competitions organised by the ACB.

This year has seen the renewal of the agreement through which Endesa will continue as the main sponsor until the end of the 2020-21 season. As a result of this agreement, Endesa lends its name to the Endesa League competition and the Endesa Super Cup that starts the season.

Endesa Women's League

In October 2019, Endesa expanded its commitment to basketball and became the main sponsor of the Women's League, a competition that is now called the Endesa Women's League.

Endesa and the FEB

We became partners of the FEB and the National Team in June 2012 and since then we have actively participated in numerous projects with the Spanish Men's and Women's National Teams. In 2015, we renewed this agreement and added the Universo Mujer programme that promotes Spanish women's basketball. We are the main sponsors of the male and female teams in men's and women’s basketball, and we also support all the teams in the lower categories.

Endesa and the NBA

Since July 2017, we have been the official energy partner of the NBA in Spain and we will continue to be for the next three seasons. Endesa and the NBA share the values of basketball and aim to join efforts to promote them throughout the country.

Endesa with the EuroLiga and the EuroCup

Endesa has extended its commitment to basketball to the rest of the continent and is also the official sponsor in Spain of the Euroleague and Eurocup, the two most important European competitions. Endesa will be present at all the events in the competitions that take place at Spanish venues.

Endesa and the FEDDF

In 2018, we signed an agreement with the Spanish Sports Federation for People with Physical Disabilities, to become an Official Sponsor of the Spanish National Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team.

Endesa and basketball grass roots

Endesa is aware of the importance of sport and that way it can naturally transmit values to society. We very much identify with the values that basketball brings and we work hard to bring them to the largest possible number of families. As well as being able to help young people play basketball and give them the possibility of having unique experiences.

Endesa actively participates in organising championships in the lower categories. Highlights include the Endesa Mini Cup, which is played simultaneously with the men's and women’s Copa del Rey and FEB Mini, in which hundreds of families meet in a championship where social interaction and companionship are more important than results and winners.

Endesa also collaborates with a number of campuses that facilitate many young people’s access to the sport, in which they are given the opportunity to experience basketball from the beginner's level to meeting and training with stars from the Endesa League and the NBA. In addition, we annually organise the Endesa League campus for employee's children.

Basket Lover, creating a community

At Endesa, we created the "Basket Lover" concept to put into practice our commitment to basketball and the values it transmits, as well as our commitment to its followers, who through this sport find the energy necessary to overcome the obstacles they face in life.

With the aim of entertaining, informing and creating a community among basketball fans, we have launched actions such as “Hanging from the Hoop”, a generator of basketball-related content aimed at all fans that is published on the YouTube channel Experience Endesa TV.
