The Endesa League 2018-2019 is warming up

Endesa was once again the nucleus of Spanish basketball One more year, its inauguration party for the 2018/2019 season of Endesa League set the bar even higher because of the original presentation and the event’s success.  

David Broncano and Carol García were responsible for supervising the gala that included speeches, interviews, videos, music and a lot of humour. Endesa CEO, José Bogas, highlighted that the company continues to be "100% committed to this sponsorship". "I can relate to a lot of basketball's values and I am proud that we sponsor something we believe in.” He acknowledged: “We have resolved some problems extremely well and this shows the advanced level not only of Spanish basketball but also its leaders". The words of the ACB President, Antonio Martín, picked up on the friendly spirit of the slogan “The truth begins. Let’s come back” to “awaken the fans” he assured.

The comic’s wisdom brought out the more fun-loving side of the 18 Endesa League stars present at the event: Sergio Llull (Real Madrid), Jayson Granger (KIROLBET Baskonia), Adam Hanga (Barça Lassa), Marcus Eriksson (Herbalife Gran Canaria), Joan Sastre (Valencia Basket Club), Moussa Diagné (MoraBanc Andorra), Jaime Fernández (Unicaja), Javi Beirán (Iberostar Tenerife), Christian Eyenga (Montakit Fuenlabrada), Ovie Soko (UCAM Murcia), Edgar Vicedo (Movistar Estudiantes), Pepe Pozas (Monbus Obradoiro), Alberto Corbacho (Delteco GBC), Dino Radoncic (San Pablo Burgos), Xabi López-Aróstegui (Divina Seguros Joventut), Jonathan Barreiro (Tecnyconta Zaragoza), Henk Norel (Cafés Candelas Breogán) y Justin Doellman (BAXI Manresa).

The surprise appearance of the rapper and freestyler Arkano succeeded in demonstrating that every year brings novelties, originality and a lot of eagerness to offer Spanish basketball fans the best of a sport that provides so many sporting success stories. The gala also offered an emotional moment to pay tribute to Juan Carlos Navarro with a video and a resounding ovation from all those present in the Endesa auditorium.
The engines are now running and the competition is about to kick off. The Endesa Supercup will raise its curtain on Friday and the Endesa League and Spanish Copa del Rey (King's Cup) will follow suit. For yet another year, Endesa has once again played host to basketball in one of the most anticipated sports inaugurations this year.
