  • Endesa will supply 54 Gwh from renewable sources to the four Data Centres of the leading company in the management of the infrastructure and IT systems.

Endesa will provide 100% green energy to the information technology company, Itconic (www.itconic.com), also in 2016. Thus, Endesa undertakes to supply the Spanish company, one that already held a supply contract this year, with energy from fully renewable sources and from high efficiency cogeneration.

In particular, Endesa will supply 54 Gwh of 100% green energy to Itconic’s four operational centres distributed throughout the peninsula, two in Madrid, one in Seville and another in Barcelona.

The energy supply from renewable sources is one of the key factors in Endesa’s push in favour of the environment and energy efficiency. In fact, to promote efficient consumption habits which respect the environment, the leader of the electric sector in Spain has launched an energy advice service (www.diagnosticoenergeticoendesa.com) through which experts from Endesa analyse each situation in order to provide their clients with customized solutions so that they can become more efficient.

This new agreement reached by Endesa is aligned with the company’s sustainability policy and is encompassed within its efficiency initiatives, as evidenced by its presence in the main frames of reference on sustainable management, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Euronext Vigeo and in the prestigious Carbon Disclosure Project.
