Distribution consists of taking electricity to points of consumption. The transport network supplies the distribution network directly from major production plants and the distribution network enables electricity to reach consumers.
Endesa carries out this activity in Spain, where distribution is regulated.
At Endesa we distribute electricity in 27 Spanish provinces from 10 autonomous communities - Andalucía, Aragón, Baleares, Canarias, Castilla y León, Cataluña, Comunidad Valenciana, Extremadura, Galicia and Navarra-, which means an area that includes 195,279 km2 and a population of approximately 22 million inhabitants. At 31 December 2017 the total energy distributed by our networks exceeded 103,154 GWh, 2.4% more than the previous year.
