Distribution consists of taking electricity to points of consumption. The transport network supplies the distribution network directly from major production plants and the distribution network enables electricity to reach consumers.
Endesa carries out this activity in Spain, where distribution is regulated.
At Endesa, we distribute electricity in 27 Spanish provinces in 10 autonomous communities: Andalusia, Aragon, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Castile and León, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Extremadura, Galicia and Navarre, which covers 195,279 km2 and a population close to 22 million inhabitants. On 31 December 2018, the total energy distributed by our grids reached 117,029 GWh.
