We are embarking on one of the most ambitious and important projects in the sporting world. Endesa and the ACB are joining forces to create a sporting model that will serve as an example to others. It is not just a sponsorship agreement, it is a true association: an innovative alliance in the basketball world. It is without doubt, the most important agreement in Spanish and European basketball to date, and will help the structural and sporting development of the clubs. And if the clubs grow, the spectacle grows, the quality of the league grows, and, as such, we all grow. We also believe in sporting values: fair play, respect for the rules, teamwork and the value of hard work.
It is the defence and promotion of theses principles that most attracts me to the sporting world. And I firmly believe that basketball is a perfect reflection of Endesa´s values. It is a sport for everyone, that unites the country. It is modern and innovative and constantly evolving to become more attractive and competitive.
We are looking at the best league in Europe. I hope and trust that the Spanish League will outstrip all expectations, both sporting and non-sporting, and that the upcoming season will be the most electrifying one yet.
