ENDESA BEGINS A TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER PROJECT FOR ITALIAN UTILITY A2A ENDESA’s prestige and know-how in the electricity distribution field, building on an extensive track record in an increasingly demanding market, means its distribution model is highly sought after by third parties. This contract consolidates ENDESA’s position in the provision of value added services to other foreign companies. A2A,(born from the merger between ASM Brescia + AMSA Miláno) has awarded a contract to ENDESA Ingeniería in connection with phase one of a technology transfer project. ENDESA’s prestige and know-how in the electricity distribution field, building on an extensive track record in an increasingly demanding market, means its distribution model is highly sought after by third parties. Heavy investment in technology, processes and organisational structure designed to respond to the sector’s future needs are distilled in the “Elecbox” project, which has been made available to customers via specialised services following strong take-up by the market in general. The A2A contract consolidates ENDESA’s position in the provision of value added services to other foreign companies. The plan for the division is to leverage this momentum and continue to penetrate its target markets, notably in the Middle East where the bulk of commercial initiatives are underway. A2A A2A is the leading Italian municipal electric utility. In addition to generating and distributing electric power, A2A supplies its customers with gas and water cycle, solid urban waste and residential heating management services as well as public lighting services. In 2007 revenues totalled Euro 5.2 million while EBITDA reached Euro 1 million. |
