ENDESA Energía has become one of the main gas suppliers in the Spanish market.
At 31 December 2008, ENDESA Energía's gas portfolio consisted of 846,000 supply points, with contracted annual consumption of 43.8 TWh, 2% more than in 2007. With regard to sales on this deregulated market, ENDESA registered 37,744 GWh, giving it a market share of 15.4%. This represents a 25% increase on the volume of energy sold in 2007.
Endesa supplies some of the country's leading players in the ceramics, glass, chemicals, automobile, textile and cogeneration sectors.
