ENDESA Energía has become one of the main gas suppliers in the Spanish market.
At 31 December 2007, ENDESA Energía's gas portfolio consisted of 446,131 supply points, with contracted annual consumption of 43,000 GWh, vs. 33,000 GWh in 2006. This is an increase of 30%. With regard to sales on this deregulated market, ENDESA registered 30,085 GWh, giving it a market share of 13.7%. This represents a 27% increase on the volume of energy sold in 2006.
Endesa supplies some of the country's leading players in the ceramics, glass, chemicals, automobile, textile and cogeneration sectors.
