As well as distributing tariff electrical energy on the regulated markets, ENDESA sells electricity on the deregulated Spanish market through ENDESA Energía.
In 2007, it supplied 36,611 GWh on the deregulated market, which represents a market share of 52.6% with a customer base amounting to 1,147,180.
In 2007 ENDESA consolidated its commercial position as one of the main suppliers to the major sectors of the economy. Its supply activities are particularly relevant in the automotive and chemical sectors.
During the last financial year ENDESA increased its presence in the various regional markets of the areas where it distributes energy, basing its strategy on attractive and competitive offers and on good customer services, paying special attention to providing a personalised service.
ENDESA has worked very hard to update its commercial structures with a view to the total deregulation of the market on 1 January 2003.
- With regard to the domestic market, it has a portfolio of electricity and gas products designed for the deregulated market, consisting of an energy tariff plus a free value-added service. In 2007 ENDESA had a wide network of face-to-face customer service centres, consisting of 428 Service Points and 46 Sales Offices throughout Spain.
- With regard to companies, there are personalised offers according to the level of consumption and type of customer. These offers are complemented by a range of additional services. ENDESA has a team of professionals organised by sector and territory available to its customers.
