ENERGIE ELECTRIQUE DE TAHADDART

ENDESA and the Moroccan electricity enterprise ONE will build and exploit a 384 MW combined cycle power station in Tahaddart, a location situated some 30 km from the city of Tangiers.

The construction and the right of use of this power station has been awarded by ONE to a company called Energie Electrique de Tahaddart and formed by ONE itself (48%), ENDESA (32%) and Siemens (20%).

The plant was inaugated last 19th of January of 2005 in a ceremony presided over by their majesties, the Kings of Morocco and Spain. This is the first combined cycle plant to be built in Morocco and represents of the country's total installed capacity 9% and 13% of its thermal capacity. Output is forecast at 3,100 GWh, 19.5% of total Moroccan output.
